Danish born Mzungu Kichaa grew up in Africa. His eclectic life journey is reflected in his vibrant sound, shaped by the diverse musical traditions he has encountered in the different places he grew up. The award-winning artist is considered one of the most popular touring acts in East Africa and is steadily gaining popularity on the international scene with his unique interpretation of the Tanzanian genre, Bongo Flava.
Armed only with his guitar, Mzungu Kichaa has recently transformed his songs into acoustic arrangements particularly suited for the club scene and for venues with limited economic resources. For bigger festivals however, Mzungu Kichaa still performs with his full band from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
